Notice of Interruption to Water Supply – Kingaroy

South Burnett Regional Council advises that as part of planned maintenance to a water main, Council will be isolating water to a number of properties in Cornish Street, Buchanan Street and Kingaroy Street Kingaroy on Tuesday 1 September 2026 between 8am and 12pm.

Notice of Works – Garrick Street, Murgon Water Main Renewal

Call for 2027 Australia Day Award Nominations

Nominations are now open for the South Burnett region’s annual Australia Day Awards for 2027. The awards will be presented on Sunday, 24 January 2027 at the Kingaroy Town Hall.

Council Endorses the Disaster Management Reform Submission

At the South Burnett Regional Council Ordinary Meeting held on Wednesday 19 August 2026, Council endorsed the submission to the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) opposing the proposed Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) funding changes and formally supporting the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) submission to NEMA opposing the proposed DRFA changes.

Rate Notices to be Issued

South Burnett Regional Council advises that rate notices for the period 1 July to 31 December 2026 are expected to be issued on Friday 16 October 2026 with a discount date of Monday 16 November 2026, subject to release date.

SBRCQ 26/27-35 - Gordonbrook Offstream Storage Facility
