Streamlining the collection of General Waste Bins in the South Burnett
South Burnett Regional Council advises, Council’s contractor, JJ’s Waste & Recycling has commenced the roll out of new red lidded general waste bins to selected locations.
The contract with JJ’s Waste & Recycling covers the cost of these replacement bins and is included in the schedule of rates, which is in fact less than previous contracts, saving rate payer dollars.
These new red lidded bins will only be replacing the old green lidded bins that were rolled out in previous years. This will only affect select locations and will streamline bin collections for the South Burnett region.
Everyone in the South Burnett will have a red lidded general waste bin, once the roll out is complete only these bins will be collected in the future. If a resident presents a non-council bin, it will not be collected, this prevents residents presenting bins where they have not paid for the service.
