Temporary Road Closure – Williams Road, Benarkin North
South Burnett Regional Council advises we are currently planning to extend the floodway on Williams Road, Benarkin North, located approximately 760m from Old Esk Road
. The outcome of the project is to provide resilience and safety during and post flood events.
In order to safely complete these works, it is necessary to close vehicular access at the project site on Williams Road between Old Esk Road and Hilary Road. Below is a map of the location of road closure that will be in place.
Works are anticipated to commence from Saturday 14 September 2024 to 29 September 2024 (subject to wet weather)
The project is funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the joint Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), with additional funding support from South Burnett Regional Council.
Detour signage will be in place prior to commencement of works.
