Get ready to pedal your way through an unforgettable cycling adventure as the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT) Festival of Cycling returns! We invite cyclists of all levels to participate in this fun-filled event, taking place on 9th September 2023. The festival promises to showcase the very best the rail trail has to offer, giving riders the opportunity to embark on a fabulous adventure with friends and family, through the region.

The BVRT Festival of Cycling offers three distances to choose from - 45km, 75km, and 100km. Whether you are a seasoned cyclist seeking a challenge or a beginner looking to explore picturesque surroundings, this family-friendly event caters to all abilities, ensuring a fantastic off-road experience for everyone.

Starting in Harlin (6.00 am), Esk (6.30 am), and Coominya (9.00am), participants will have the chance to enjoy the company of fellow cycling enthusiasts and immerse themselves in the beauty of the area.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

Fully Support Adventure - This fully supported event ensures your safety and comfort throughout the ride, with first aid, bike mechanics, ride marshals, and support vehicles on hand to assist you at every pedal. Frequent food and water stations, offering water, bananas, lollies, and baked goods, will keep you energised as you conquer the trail.

Climbing Triumph - As a reward for conquering the challenging climbs, riders will receive a gourmet food pack from Esk Fruit Shop, ensuring a delicious treat at the end of the ride. Element Video and Photo Productions will capture the best moments of the event.

Let us handle your ride back to the start - Don’t worry about transportation back to the start, as ticketed shuttles are available for purchase for each distance (45km, 75km, 100km), ensuring a seamless journey for all participants.

Festival Fun Doesn’t’ End at the Finish Line - The festivities continue as the event concludes in Blackbutt, in collaboration with the 2023 Blackbutt Avocado Festival. In 2023, we have joined forces to ensure your day of fun is complete. Join us in celebrating your achievements amidst a vibrant atmosphere, and indulge in delicious avocado-themed treats to tantalise your taste buds. And, the excitement doesn't stop with food - the Avocado Festival will also host live music, demonstrations, market stalls, and even thrilling helicopter and pony rides. It's a celebration of the region's unique culture agricultural heritage, and the joy of coming together.
