Stage 1 Easing of COVID-19 Restrictions
The Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) has reviewed the latest Public Health Directions in relation to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions across Queensland.
The LDMG in conjunction with Queensland Police acknowledges and thanks the community for their compliance and response to restrictions in the past weeks.
The new easing of restrictions are widespread across the community and there will be a multi-agency focus based on education and self-compliance prior to enforcement. Relaxations include day trips within a 150km radius from your principal place of residence (excluding travel into the Outback – see attached map) and limited restaurant/café dine-in options.
Whilst the Roadmap to easing Queensland’s restrictions is a good guide and indicative of these changes, the official (and enforceable) rules are encompassed in the Chief Health Officer’s Public Health Directions.
