Bitumen resealing works progress
South Burnett Regional Council advises that bitumen resealing works have commenced for the month of November.
South Burnett Regional Council advises that bitumen resealing works, funded through Roads to Recovery, Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme and Council’s 2020-21 Capital Budget, will commence Monday, 16 November and will continue for approximately four (4) weeks, weather permitting.
Reseals for the 2020-21 financial year are planned for various streets in the towns and localities of Abbeywood, Booie, Cushnie, Gordonbrook, Greenview, Hivesville, Kingaroy, Kinleymore, Maidenwell, Mannuem, Memerambi, Moffatdale, MP Creek, Murgon, Nanango, Proston, Speedwell, Stalworth and Taabinga.
Some property owners may experience restrictions to property access for short periods of time whilst works are in progress.
A list of streets and roads listed under the 2020/21 financial year’s resealing program can be found on Council’s website.
In order to provide a safe work environment, the work areas will be controlled by signage or with traffic controllers as required. Motorists are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
