Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) works commence

Back

South Burnett Regional Council is pleased to advise the commencement of Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) works, partly funded through the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund.

Minor construction activities commenced Tuesday 19 January, with major works to fully start on Monday 8 February to replace dilapidated underground infrastructure along Alford Street, between Youngman and Glendon Streets.

During construction, South Burnett Regional Council strongly encourages the community to support those businesses impacted by the works.

To enable this, Council recommends the use of off-street parking located behind the South Burnett Regional Council office, utilising the laneway to access Alford Street during parking disruption. Off-street carparking is also available in Circular Place Carpark in Glendon St.

Disruption to the Alford Street entrance of Kingaroy Shopping World will also occur from the second week of February.  It is recommended that alternative access via Glendon and Markwell Streets be utilised during this time.

Please keep an eye on Council's Facebook page for closure times and alternate routes.

Details of activities commencing the first week of February are outlined in the plan below.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding any facets of the project, please contact the Kingaroy Transformation Team by phone on (07) 4189 9100 or email ktp@sbrc.qld.gov.au.
