Kingaroy sewer relining programme to begin February 2021

Back

South Burnett Regional Council is undertaking a sewer relining programme in Kingaroy.

The project is scheduled to commence on Monday 15 February 2021, with completion anticipated for late May 2021, weather permitting.

Works will be carried out by Interflow Pty Ltd as part of South Burnett Regional Council’s Capital Works programme, as a commitment to ensure the long-term sustainability and efficiency of our sewerage infrastructure.

This programme will extend the life of existing sewerage infrastructure via the installation of plastic liners inside the existing pipe.  It will involve the use of robotics to clean and inspect all sewers within the network prior to installation of spirally wound PVC liner.

Notifications to affected community members will be provided when works commence.

Access to manholes on some community properties will be necessary, with contractors undertaking works while being assisted by Council staff.

COVID-19 measures will be in place for the duration of the project, in accordance with Queensland and federal guidelines.

Council apologises for any inconvenience that this work may cause and thank you in advance for your patience.

For further information contact Council’s Water and Wastewater team by phone on 4189 9100 or by email info@southburnett.qld.gov.au.
