KTP Update – Alford Street closures and parking disruptions

Back

South Burnett Regional Council would like to advise that isolated footpath and road closures are to be expected while works are occurring along Alford Street, between Youngman and Glendon Streets.

Progressively upon completion of the staged works, parking will be re-opened subject to further scheduled construction.

Please note:

  • Week commencing Monday 8 February, Alford Street will be closed (Youngman to Glendon)
  • Week commencing Monday 15 February, Alford Street will be open, however parking on the southern side will remain closed for kerb, drainage and footpath works
  • Isolated disruptions to parking on the northern and southern sides will continue as required

Details of activities commencing from 8 February through to 21 February 2021 are outlined in the image below.

Updates on closure times and alternate routes will be available on Council’s Facebook page and website as they occur.

During the construction period, Council strongly encourages the community to support those businesses impacted by the works. Pedestrian access will remain open at all times.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
