KTP Update – Footpath and parking closures

Back

South Burnett Regional Council advises that isolated footpath and parking closures are to be expected whilst works continue on the Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) in Alford Street, Kingaroy.

The Project Team will ensure parking disruption is minimised where possible throughout construction.

Alford Street will re-open to traffic the week commencing Monday 15 February, with southern parking bays to remain closed.

Isolated disruptions to parking on the northern side will continue to occur where critical for safety.

Continued closures to southern parking bays will occur the week commencing Monday 22 February, with northern parking bays to be selectively closed to allow for stormwater works and communication infrastructure.

The closure of the Glendon Street roundabout is scheduled to occur under night works in late February to minimise further disruption.

Details of activities are in the image below.

Council would like to remind residents to support your local community, with all businesses remaining open as usual during construction.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
