KTP Update – Monday 5 April 2021
South Burnett Regional Council advises of the continued Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) works along Alford Street, between Youngman and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy.
Installation of kerb and channel, planter boxes and the commencement of footpath replacement along Alford St (between Youngman and Glendon Streets) is scheduled through to mid-April.
New work areas will be established surrounding the Alford Street and Glendon Street Roundabout allowing for the installation of stormwater, electrical and communication infrastructure.
In collaboration with Kingaroy Shoppingworld, improvements will be made to the Glendon Street driveway, improving safety and flow of traffic to the carpark.
These works are planned to be undertaken outside of the Easter holiday period to minimise impact to motorists and businesses. Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
Selective parking closures will continue along both sides of Alford Street allowing for works to progress. The Project Team will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to proactively mitigate the effects on parking as much as possible.
Pedestrian access to all shops will remain open at all times. During the construction period, Council strongly encourages the community to support those businesses impacted by the works.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
Please direct all enquiries and concerns to the Kingaroy Transformation Project team on 1300 789 279, 4189 9100 or email ktp@sbrc.qld.gov.au.
