KTP Update - Scheduled works from 12 – 26 July 2021

South Burnett Regional Council advises of the continued Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) works for the period commencing Monday 12 July 2021:

• Haly Street will be closed under night works, between 6pm and 6am from Monday 12 through to Sunday 26 July to allow for the installation of water and stormwater infrastructure. All businesses trading between these hours will remain open and customers are advised to follow signage.

• Glendon Street roundabout northern entry, between the roundabout and Circular Place, will reopen on Monday 12 July.

• Glendon Street roundabout southern entry, from the roundabout to the Kingaroy Shopping World driveway, will close from Monday 12 July to allow for reconstruction works. The driveway will initially remain open, however will be closed for reconstruction later within this period. Additional works will continue throughout the roundabout during this time, however it is not expected to impact traffic movement westbound along Alford Street. 

• The Prices Plus side of Alford Street, from Glendon Street to Kingaroy Street, will close from Sunday 18 July, to allow for the reconstruction of this section. All businesses will remain open during construction. All parking along the bank side of Alford Street will remain open during this time.

Impacted businesses continue to remain open and locals are highly encouraged to support businesses whilst works are progressed.

The Project team will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to proactively mitigate the effects on parking as much as possible.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
