Delays in kerbside bin replacement
South Burnett Regional Council’s waste collection contractor, JJ’s Waste & Recycling,
has notified Council of a significant delay in receiving supply of new kerbside bins (wheelie bins) in the region due to logistical impacts related to COVID-19.
As a result of these circumstances, replacement of wheelie bins will be prioritised for residents with bins that are damaged and in an unusable condition only, with these wheelie bins being replaced with used bins until new replacement bins are available.
Residents with damaged bins that are still in working condition are requested to contact Council in approximately three weeks, when stock is expected to become available.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
