Temporary road closures and traffic conditions for Baconfest
South Burnett Regional Council advises of the upcoming road closures for BaconFest 2021 from Friday 20 August 2021 to Sunday 22 August 2021.
To deliver a safe and secure event, please see below full list of road closures and changed traffic conditions:
- Glendon Street (Council office side only), between Alford Street and Commercial Hotel drive through bottle shop, 6:00am Friday 20 August to 4:00pm Sunday 22 August 2021
- Lane way beside Council library, access from Glendon Street, 6:00am Friday 20 August to 4:00pm Sunday 22 August 2021
- Circular Place Carpark, access from Glendon Street, 1:00pm Friday 20 August to 4:00pm Sunday 22 August 2021
- Carpark behind Council office, access from Youngman Street and Glendon Streets, 1:00pm Friday 20 August to 4:00pm Sunday 22 August 2021
- Alford Street, between Youngman Street and Glendon Streets, 4:00pm Friday 20 August to 4:00pm Sunday 22 August 2021
- Lane Way behind Council office, access from Youngman Street to Commercial Hotel, 4:00pm Friday 20 August to 4:00pm Sunday 22 August 2021
- Glendon Street (both sides), between Alford Street and Commercial Hotel drive through bottle shop, 4:00pm Friday 20 August to 4:00pm Sunday 22 August 2021
These road closures are in accordance with provisions under the Local Government Act 2009, Part 3, Roads and other infrastructure: Division 1: Roads, Section 69: Closing roads:
(2) The Local Government may close a road to all traffic or particular class -
(c) if it is necessary or desirable to close the road for a temporary purpose
