KTP Update - Scheduled works from 06 - 19 September 2021

South Burnett Regional Council advises of the continued Kingaroy Transformation Project (KTP) works and changed traffic conditions along Haly Street and Alford Street.

Alford Street

• Continuation of road closure with footpath works continuing on the Northern Side between Prices Plus and the Club Hotel with expected completion by Friday 10 September. Upon completion the northern lane and parking will reopen to traffic.

• Kerb and footpath works continuing on the Southern Side between Hello World and South Burnett Podiatry.

Haly Street

• Changed traffic conditions with single lane (West Bound) open between Glendon Street and Youngman Street. Civil works will commence on the Northern Side between Kay Apparel and Crowies Paints from Monday 5 September.

• The demolition of the footpath and installation of temporary pedestrian access to businesses in Haly Street, between LBW Bottle Shop (previously the Thirsty Camel) and the Commercial Hotel will commence the week of 12 September.

Impacted businesses continue to remain open and locals are highly encouraged to support businesses during these times. Temporary pedestrian pathways will be installed to navigate customers during construction.

The Project Team will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to proactively mitigate the effects on parking as much as possible.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
