Alford Street and Glendon Street - Kingaroy Notice of Progressive Night Road Closure
South Burnett Reginal Council is pleased to advise that line marking works will occur on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 October 2021.
These works will be scheduled to be completed during night-time hours, subject to weather and other external constraints.
In order to provide a safe working environment for Council staff and users, these works will be controlled by a progressive full road closure, including:
- Alford Street, Youngman Street to Kingaroy Street, including all parking areas, from 6.00pm to 8.00am.
- Glendon Street, Circular Place exit to entry to Kingaroy Shopping Centre from 6.00pm to 8.00am.
Parking bays adjacent to businesses along Alford Street will be progressively closed from 6.00pm and a full road closure is expected to be in force from 9.00pm to 8.00am. Pedestrian access will be maintained during this time.
Access to Kingaroy Shoppingworld will operate via the underground carpark on Markwell Street. The upper-level carpark via Glendon Street will be closed from 9.00pm. Carparking at the Woolworths entry to Kingaroy Shoppingworld off Alford Street will also be closed during this time.
During the construction period, Council strongly encourages the community to support those businesses impacted by the works.
Please limit long term on-street parking during construction. Off-street parking via George Street, Roger Nunn Place, Alford Street and behind South Burnett Regional Council.
Motorists and pedestrians should travel with extreme care, drive to the prevailing road conditions, and adhere to all signage. Pedestrian access most likely will be restricted whilst works are commencing.
