South Burnett community urged to get the COVID vaccine to unite families by Christmas
Queensland Health released Queensland’s COVID-19 Vaccine Plan to Unite Families on Monday 18 October 2021 urging Queensland communities to get vaccinated
in order to open the border in time for Christmas.
Queensland’s COVID-19 Vaccine Plan outlines the milestones for 70%, 80% and 90% of eligible Queenslanders being fully vaccinated to reintroduce domestic and international travel to the state in the coming months. South Burnett Regional Council Mayor Brett Otto is urging all residents to do their part and get vaccinated so that we can all see our loved ones this holiday season.
Mayor Brett Otto said, “The more people vaccinated in the South Burnett, the more protected we are against COVID-19, and the sooner we can open the border and be reunited with our loved ones for Christmas.”
“I implore our community to do their due diligence and get vaccinated. We are at a stage where we must learn to live with COVID-19. The vaccine is our only defence against it, and the only guarantee for us to get back to living full lives again,” said the Mayor.
