Notice of Road Closure – Alford and Glendon Streets, Kingaroy
South Burnett Regional Council advises that full road closures, including parking, will occur along Alford Street, between the Kingaroy Street intersection and the Glendon Street roundabout
on Thursday 4 November through to Friday 12 November 2021, weather and external constraints permitting.
Closures will also occur along Glendon Street between the pedestrian crossing of the roundabout, extending approximately halfway towards the Markwell Street roundabout (see image on Page 2). These road closures will allow for road construction and asphalt works.
Pedestrian access will remain open at all times, with temporary pedestrian pathways being installed to navigate customers throughout construction.
The community is urged to limit long term on-street parking during construction. Off-street parking is encouraged in George Street, Roger Nunn Place, Alford Street and behind South Burnett Regional Council.
Impacted businesses continue to remain open and locals are highly encouraged to support businesses during these times.
The Project Team will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to mitigate the effects on parking as much as possible.
Motorists and pedestrians should travel with extreme care, drive to the prevailing road conditions, and adhere to all signage.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
