Blackbutt welcomes author and surface designer Rachael King as part of ‘Spotlight on Blackbutt Arts’ program

As a successful recipient of South Burnett Regional Council’s Regional Arts Development Fund, he team behind Blackbutt Avocado Festival is excited to be welcoming

Brisbane-based surface designer and author of Pattern Pulse Rachael King to the region later this month.

In Rachael King’s Artwork to Product workshop, participants will learn how to transform their original artworks into a range of products such as coffee mugs, drink bottles, stationery and even fashion. 
Arts Project Officer for Bloomin Beautiful Blackbutt Festival Inc. (Blackbutt Avocado Festival), Olivia Everitt, said, “We’re looking forward to welcoming Rachael to the South Burnett to deliver this valuable professional development workshop. Helping local artists to gain the skills they need to showcase and sell their artwork is an important step in sharing and celebrating the fantastic artistic talent we have in this region.”  

The Artwork to Product workshop will run on Friday 26 November from 9:30am – 12:30pm at Blackbutt Memorial Hall. Support from the Regional Arts Development Fund enables this workshop to be free for participants to attend.
