Reds to Regions tour in South Burnett

Back

The St George Queensland Reds brought their Reds to Regions tour to South Burnett for the first time on Thursday 25 November and Friday 26 November 2021.

A number of Vintage Reds joined the current squad on tour, visiting schools and Rugby clubs, billet with families and perform manual labour as the squad strengthens their connection with the entire state of Queensland.

The Reds to Regions tour itinerary in South Burnett included visits to Cherbourg, Murgon, Wondai and Kingaroy State High School on Thursday 25 November 2021, and Pioneer Park Nanango and Nanango State High School on Friday 26 November 2021.

South Burnett Regional Council Mayor Brett Otto said he is grateful to see these opportunities coming out to regional areas to enrich young people.

“It’s great to see the St George Reds out in our region. Rural kids don’t often get these opportunities so I’m sure that they will be pretty excited. I would like to acknowledge the Queensland Reds organisation for their contribution to rural Queensland through their tour program,” said Mayor Otto.
