Discoloured Water – Wondai water supply scheme
South Burnett Regional Council advises that the water in Barambah Creek at Ficks Crossing currently has a very high turbidity due to localised flash flooding.
The Wondai water supply scheme draws water from Ficks Crossing which may result in some residents experiencing discoloured water.
Intermittent discolouring may last for the next two days, with the possibility of being impacted for a longer period if further wet weather and flooding events occur.
Disinfection continues to ensure water remains safe for residents. The impact of this interruption means the treatment process of the water is not currently operating at full capacity. Residents are urged to reduce water consumption where possible.
