Weed spraying has commenced
South Burnett Regional Council advises that weed spraying has commenced this week beginning Monday 6 December 2021.
Spraying is still to be undertaken at the following locations and dates, weather and external constraints permitting:
- Nanango main entrances and CBD areas Friday 10 December 2021
- Murgon main entrances and CBD areas on Monday 13 December & Tuesday 14 December 2021
- Wondai main entrances and CBD areas on Thursday 16 December & Friday 17 December 2021
Spraying has already been completed at the following locations and dates:
- Kingaroy town area, main entrances and CBD areas Monday 6 December 2021
- Nanango main entrances and CBD areas on Wednesday 8 December and Thursday 9 December 2021
Spraying is carried out on certain footpaths, traffic islands and kerbs, under strict supervision and guidelines in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Whilst contractors are careful to spray only areas affected by weeds, and spraying is not carried out on windy days, if you think that spray has drifted onto your lawn or garden, it can be diluted by hosing immediately with water.
Residents who suffer from existing health conditions may wish to take other suitable precautions.
