COVID-19 restrictions update for dams in South Burnett
South Burnett Regional Council advises that proof of COVID-19 vaccination will not be required for entry to Boondooma Dam and Bjelke-Petersen Dam, as per the Queensland Government’s mandates.
Bjelke-Petersen Dam and Boondooma Dam will only provide takeaway food service and has removed tables out of the kiosk to avoid any concerns of guests’ vaccination status and sitting in this indoor space.
Guests will still be welcome to eat in the dams’ outdoor undercover areas and decks as these are not classed as being indoors.
As per Queensland Health directives, guests must comply with state guidelines for the wearing of face masks.
We understand these are challenging times and acknowledge the complexity of the issues.
Council will continue to advocate for assistance for the impacted businesses so they can work through the upcoming changes.
