Dog Registration Renewals - Overdue

South Burnett Regional Council advises that dog registration renewals are now overdue.

Residents are reminded that the current registration renewal period is from 1 December 2021 to 30 November 2022, with payment due on 1 December 2021.

Council will be auditing the registration system to identify those who have not complied with the requirements of the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008. Failing to comply may result in enforcement action being taken.

If you have not paid your dog registration, please contact Council to make payment or update any details, including change of ownership, moved out of the area or if your dog has sadly passed away.

Please note under the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 Section 54 it is the animal owner’s responsibility to notify Council within 7 days of any changed information. Penalties apply for failing to update details.

Council would prefer your cooperation to resolve this matter in complying with the Act to avoid enforcement action being taken.
