Notice of Closure - Intersection of Haly Street and Kingaroy Street

South Burnett Regional Council wishes to advise that the intersection of Haly Street and Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy will close for reconstruction works from Monday 21 March 2022.  The intersection is expected to be closed for three (3) weeks, subject to weather and other external constraints.

Traffic management will be in place as per the below map with parking to access businesses still available on both Haly Street and Kingaroy Street.

Access to the Alford Street carpark behind the NAB Bank will still be accessible via the Alford Street entrance/exit.

Heavy vehicle restrictions will also be in place along Haly Street with detours available via King Street.

Council also advises that the intersection of Alford Street and Kingaroy Street has re-opened in all directions.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.  Pedestrian access most likely will be restricted whilst works are commencing. 

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks businesses and the community for their patience whilst works are in progress.

During the construction period, Council strongly encourages the community to continue to support those businesses impacted by the works.
