Kingaroy Airport Hazard Reduction Burn

South Burnett Regional Council would like to advise residents that Queensland Fire & Emergency Services will be undertaking a Hazard Reduction Burn at the Kingaroy Aerodrome

on Wednesday 20th April between the hours of 2pm to 3pm.

Smoke may affect the Taabinga Village Estate and southern area of Kingaroy during this time.

What you should do:

  • Keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke entering homes
  • Keep outdoor furniture under cover to prevent ember burns
  • Retract pool covers to prevent ember damage
  • Remove washing from clothes lines
  • Ensure pets have a protected area

If you have asthma or other breathing difficulties, reduce outdoor activities. If shortness of breath or coughing develops, take advised medical precautions or seek medical advice.

Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of this exercise.
