Learn how to turn Food Waste into Fertiliser

Back

South Burnett Regional Council is offering a free workshop designed to teach you how to save your food scraps from landfill and turn them into fertiliser.

Turning food waste into compost can help your garden as well as the environment. Around half of the average wheelie bin is organic material, which can negatively impact the environment when sent to landfill.

The Introduction to Composting and Worm Farming community workshop will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall on Wednesday 15th June, from 6-7:30pm.

The 2021-22 Waste Education Strategy includes this face-to-face workshop as part of a full week of waste education to schools and early learning centres and follows International Compost Awareness Week earlier this month.

Bookings are essential, so register now by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/free-composting-and-worm-farming-workshop-tickets-349268550637
