Notification of Works – Kent Street Wondai
South Burnett Regional Council wishes to advise that works on Kent Street, Wondai adjacent to Wondai State School are due to commence the week beginning Monday, 20 June 2022, weather permitting.
Works being undertaken include footpath works along the school frontage and removal of the existing crossing and medians and relocation of the pedestrian crossing closer to the intersection with South Street. The bus zone will be relocated closer to the Cherbourg Street intersection and an express drop-off zone will be installed near the school entrance.
These works have been funded under the Queensland State Government’s School Transport Infrastructure Program.
In order to provide a safe work environment, the work areas will be controlled by signage or with traffic controllers as required. Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extra care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
