Under 8's Day Gets a Fire Truck!
South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group’s emergency services are this year partnering with SB Partnerships
for Kids, South Burnett Regional Council, SunPork and Burnett Today to assist with the Under 8s Day.
Part of the LDMG Get Ready Queensland funding has been put towards an Emergency Services Expo that will include fire simulation & trucks, police speed camera, SES boat and ute, ambulance vehicle and a giant snakes and ladders game.
“We thought it was a perfect opportunity to work in with the Under 8s team,” said Cr Danita Potter.
Cr Potter urged residents to mark the date in their calendars and come along for a fun filled day with many exhibits and stalls for children.
The Under 8’s Day will be held at the Kingaroy Memorial Park on Thursday 30th June from 9 am to 12 noon.
The popular guest presenter is ‘Yipadee’, who will encourage consumption of the sausage sizzle and fairy floss, and participation in activities and games, giveaways, and prizes.
