Notice of Works - George Street Carpark Kingaroy - Works Commencing
South Burnett Regional Council wishes to advise that construction will commence on the George Street Carpark in Kingaroy the week of Monday 12 September 2022.
The George Street Carpark will provide an additional 92 off-street, long-term parking bays within the Kingaroy CBD completed with upgraded stormwater, disability, loading zones and street lighting. The proposed layout is seen at the base of this document.
Construction works are expected to take 8-10 weeks weather permitting. During construction, parking will remain open in selected areas behind Haly Street buildings subject to the construction activities scheduled for that day. Off-street parking located within King Street carpark will remain open during construction. Access for delivery vehicles will remain open, drivers are requested to follow directions of construction workers to get to their desired unloading areas.
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks businesses and the community for their patience whilst works are in progress.
