Santa’s Workshop enters its second year in the South Burnett

Back

Santa’s Workshop is the sister initiative to the annual Santa Claus Lane, and South Burnett businesses are invited to get creative with their festive window displays this Christmas,

as an homage to the Christmas window displays of yore in Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall.

Santa’s Workshop aims to encourage a sense of place and pride in the region, and in 2022 all local businesses are urged to get involved with the displays.

The Santa’s Workshop brings a little of the yesteryear of the wonder of Christmas into a new age, so there are lots of opportunities to display both your creativity and your collaboration with colleagues but remember the vital ingredient! Child friendly!  To enter Santa’s Workshop competition, businesses must declare an active ABN and complete the entry form, available from Council’s Customer Service Centres or online.

One business from each of the six grouped regional areas will be chosen as having the best Christmas window display and be awarded the 2022 Ken Mills Santa’s Workshop trophy which will be announced on 14 December 2022 at Council’s Ordinary Meeting. The Santa’s Workshop initiative has this year been generously backed by Ken Mills Toyota.

CEO, Mark Pitt said “I am delighted to open these awards once again to the public. The South Burnett has the opportunity to display their pride in their region and their sense of community.”

Santa’s Workshop will be an annual award for businesses to keep and display all year round.

 To enter:

  1.      Complete the entry form on Council’s website or available through Council’s Customer Service Centres. Submission of an entry form is mandatory to be in the running for the Santa’s Workshop title and trophy and registration closes 4.30pm, 25 November 2022.
  2.      Have your Christmas window display ready for judging between Thursday 1 December 2022 and Sunday 11 December 2022.

Council wishes all businesses the best of luck and cannot wait to see the creativity that stems from such a special time of year.
