Australia Day Awards celebrated on 22 January 2023
Council is pleased to announce that the Australia Day Awards for 2023 will be held on Sunday 22 January 2023 from 12noon to 3.00pm at Nanango Showgrounds located at 129 Drayton Nanango.
The ceremony will welcome Rod Morgan as master of ceremonies and Juliana Evangelista to sing the Australian National Anthem.
Following the awards ceremony, the Nanango Heritage Choir will perform and an afternoon tea will be be provided.
Mayor Brett Otto congratulates all nominees and acknowledges their commitment to the community.
“All those nominated for an Australia Day Award have showcased their true community spirit and are at the heart of what makes the South Burnett great,” the Mayor said.
“We have faced many highs and lows throughout the course of the past year, however our community members once again demonstrated the true resilience that is the hallmark of our rural community,” said Mayor Otto.
