January Grant Applications - Façade Improvement Grant

Back

As part of the South Burnett Regional Council’s delivery of the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program, the Local Built Small Grants – Economic Recovery Investment Stream has been developed

to support community groups to create and deliver projects that build resilience and social recovery in the South Burnett region.

South Burnett Regional Council, in partnership with the region’s Chamber of Commerce and Business Development organisations, is providing incentives to support small businesses within the central business districts (CBDs) of Blackbutt, Kingaroy, Murgon, Nanango, and Wondai to improve their business façades.

A total pool of $300,000 was available across two rounds. A minimum grant amount is $500 with a maximum grant of $3,000 with a 50% co-contribution required (dollar for dollar funding). Round 2 opened Monday 23 January 2023 and closes Monday 6 March 2023.

Improvements to frontages may include lighting, exterior walls, windows and doors, storefronts, awnings/canopies, signage, exterior architectural features, exterior painting, reinstatement of historical features of the building and increased accessibility to shop fronts.

Funding Guidelines are available here.

Applications must be made via Council’s website here.
