Local Built Small Grants Program - Extension of Time

Back

Council has extended the dates for Round 2 of the Local Built Small Grants Program.

Applications are now open and close on Monday, 20 March 2023 to allow more time for community organisations and sporting groups to apply for funding. Outcomes of Round 2 will be advised by Thursday, 6 April 2023.

Projects will need to be completed between the 7 April 2023 and 31 December 2023, and acquittals lodged by applicants within 4 weeks of the projects being completed and no later than 31 January 2024.

As part of the South Burnett Regional Council’s delivery of the Australian Government’s Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program, the Local Built Small Grants – Social Recovery Investment Stream has been developed to support community groups to create and deliver projects that build resilience and economic recovery in the South Burnett region.

A total pool of $100,000 was available across two rounds with grants up to $3,000 and $5,000 possible depending on the category. There are three categories: small events, community building and facilities planning.

Key objectives of the funding are to support projects that promote the wellbeing, resilience, adaptation to climate change, and build skills in, and knowledge of the environment. Organisations must be based within the South Burnett or show substantial benefit to the residents of the South Burnett.

Funding Guidelines are on Council’s website.

Applications must be made via Council’s website https://sbrc.smartygrants.com.au/.
