Alfred Street, Nanango Footpath Extension
South Burnett Regional Council advises that the Alfred Street, Nanango Footpath Extension project is planned to commence during the week of Monday 27 February 2023.
This project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme.
The project will deliver a new 1.5 metre wide concrete strip footpath between Henry Street and Gipps Street on the Northern side of Alfred Street.
The first zone of works commencing will be at the intersection of Henry Street and Alfred Street with works progressing along Alfred Street toward Gipps Street in coming weeks. Please refer to the diagram below for further information.
Construction activity will create noise from machinery and equipment and some restrictions to vehicle parking, vehicle and pedestrian access will occur. There will be periods of approximately a week where access to property driveways will be restricted to allow construction and curing of the new concrete footpath at driveway locations. Council site staff will liaise with residents in order to manage these impacts.
Site works and construction activity will be performed Monday to Friday – 6:30am – 3:00pm, with the project expecting to be completed by April 2023.
