Cash no longer accepted at Nanango, Murgon, and Wondai Waste Facilities
South Burnett Regional Council would like to advise the community that from Saturday 1 April 2023, cash will no longer be accepted at the Nanango, Wondai and Murgon Waste Facilities.
This will bring these sites into alignment with the Kingaroy waste facility as this facility only accepts EFTPOS or via an account.
Council recommends that commercial businesses set up a Monthly Waste Account for easy operations. This can be done by visiting one of Council’s Customer Contact Offices, completing the form online here or using Council’s Recyclopedia App.
Most domestic waste is free of charge, however, there are a few domestic waste types that have a fee for disposal. If domestic residents are required to pay at the facilities, Council recommends to residents to pay by eftpos.
A copy of the 2022/2023 Register of Fees and Charges is available here.
Council apologises for any inconvenience.
