Play area opens with a Splash!

The official opening of Council’s Splash Play Area at the Wondai Swimming Pool will be held on Saturday 18th March 2023, at 10:30am.
The new water play area has been designed so you can pretend to be on a vacation. The area depicts a meandering stream with various outlets, sprays and fountains from rock formations. The meandering stream ends at a small waterhole, representing where a small dingo pup come for a drink. Dingo is the Indigenous term for Wondai.
Free entry on the day, along with a BBQ, raffles, Easter egg hunt and a visit from the Easter bunny.
This project received $300,000 in funding from the Australian Government. Council appreciated the support to help finance this community project.
Council in conjunction with the Wondai Pool Manager look forward to welcoming the community during pool season, to enjoy the regions latest aquatic attraction.
