New shelters for Lions Park Kingaroy
South Burnett Regional Council would like to advise the construction of two new undercover picnic shelters, footpaths and signage will begin later in the month at Lions Park Kingaroy.
This refurbishment project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland Program in association with South Burnett Regional Council. Works is on schedule as per Council’s work plan for the project.
Concreting of the new footpaths is set to begin towards the end of April. The old existing shelters have already been removed with construction planned for early May.
Works will primarily be on Bill Hull Car Centre side of the park. Council would like to make the community aware that during construction there may be periods where carparking near the Peanut Van and Bill Hull Car Centre may be limited.
It is expected that works will be completed by the end of May, weather permitting.
In advance, Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience these upgrades may cause and thanks the community for their understanding.
