Notification of Works - Glendon Street Shared Zone Kingaroy - Solar Installation and Footpath Works
South Burnett Regional Council advises that works are scheduled to commence Monday 8 May 2023 to Monday 22 May 2023 to install and commission the new solar system on the two structures.
Undertake final footpath surfacing and installation of pedestrian shared zone delineation works.
In order to provide a safe working environment for contractors, Council staff and users, these works will be controlled by signage and other traffic management measures. This includes:
- Week 1: Monday 8 May 2023 to Monday to Monday 15 May 2023, Structures and isolated parking bays at structure ends to be barricaded off for Workplace Health and Safety. The majority of centre parking will be open as per image 1.
- Week 2: Monday 15 May 2023 to Monday 22 May 2023, the closure of the shared zone area, located along Glendon Street. Detours through the area will be in place via Circular Place from the north. Refer to image 2.
Access to Council’s Library, Administration building and Town Hall will be unaffected. There will be limited availability for parking within this area during these works and Council encourages you to utilise the available off-street parking areas located behind the Haly Street business buildings (via George Street), King Street carpark, Alford Street carpark (behind NAB), Rodger Nunn carpark and the carpark behind Council’s Administration area.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks businesses and the community for their patience whilst works are in progress.
