Successful Grant application for repairs to the Blackbutt State Emergency Service Facility
South Burnett Regional Council is pleased to advise that the grant application under round 2023-24 of the State Emergency Service (SES) Support Grant Program
to carry out capital works at the Council owned State Emergency Service (SES) facility located at 25-27 Muir Street Blackbutt Queensland has been successful.
The State Emergency Service (SES) Support Grant is a Queensland Government Grant Program administered by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES). The SES Support Grant is a highly sought-after funding Program and Council is thrilled that the grant application has been successful.
Council will receive $73,236.75 as the SES Support Grant with the remaining cost of the project to be borne by Council. The total project cost is estimated to be $97,649.
The project entails constructing a new roof, replacing the ceiling, and carrying out other minor capital works at the SES facility in Blackbutt. The project works will commence in the next financial year and is expected to be completed by 30 June 2024.
Council is extremely grateful to have received $73,236.75 from the State of Queensland through QFES under the 2023-24 SES Support Grant Program for undertaking this project.
