- Contractors completed over 172 hours spraying lantana on main roads
- Contractors completed over 30 hours spraying Parthenium, Grader Grass, Parramatta Grass & Giant Rats Tail on main roads
- Street Spraying in Towns and Private Property and compliance control continues
Feral Animal Management
1080 Baiting Program
- A 1080 Baiting Program for Feral Dogs and Pigs commenced 21 May 2018 for landowners to participate in controlling feral animals on their properties. Bait Collection Points:
- Mon 21 May – Wondai – Melrose Road & Wondai Clearing Dip, Bunya Highway
- Tues 22 May – Proston – Boondooma Tip & Proston Clearing Dip
- Wed 23 May – Nanango – Mt Stanley Dip & Broadwater Access Road
- Thurs 24 May – Murgon – Council Gravel Reserve, McAllister Street
- Fri 25 May – Kingaroy – Hodges Road
- Fri 25 May – Kumbia – Bunya Mountains Road, Alice Creek
- Council had 45-50 landowners sign up and they had the option of purchasing fresh and/or pre-packaged baits from Council or provide their own.

- Livestock call outs were undertaken in the following areas:

Saleyards
- Sale Totals for the Month of April 522 head
- May 08 –277 head in 76 lots including progeny
- May 22 – 245 head in 64 lots including progeny
CAPEX & Work 4 Queensland – Update
Capex Projects
- Yallakool Pool resurface project completed. Pool now filled and balanced - back in service to public.
- Murgon Hospital Bridge – Procurement completed. Further required materials are now in transit to complete the works. Project to commence soon – working to schedule with contractor.
- Boondooma Helipad concrete pour completed. Now curing, line marking to commence soon and final site works.
- Proston shade shelter completed and delivered to site.
- Taabinga Cemetery new Ashes wall. Works in progress – due to be completed 22 June. Kingaroy Lions have assisted with the construction as part of their centenary celebrations.
- Lion’s carpark Murgon - Carpark and drainage upgrade completed and open to public. The Lions are having their Centenary celebration in the Park this Sunday with all sorts of activities. The official opening of the new sealed car park will be included in the celebrations and Councillors and staff are all invited to attend.
- Coomba Falls Public toilet – Works in progress. Factory prefab commenced
W4Q Projects
- Murgon skate park works completed. Footpaths and drainage works – rocks relocated and used to complete Murgon Lions carpark. The site rehabilitation is continuing via operational team.
- Dingo Park Wondai - works completed – playground re-opened to public.
Opex Projects
- Lions Park Murgon – MBDA business signage erected and installed.
- Rail Trail Wondai and Memerambi culvert crossing – work in progress as it is being manufactured.
- Rail trail markers “Calibration now completed” Rail Trail Counts from Feb 2018 to May 2018
