Gore Street Murgon – Pavement Widening & New Kerb & Channel
Council wishes to advise that works on Gore Street Murgon, adjacent to the State High School are due to commence the week beginning Monday 28 August 2023 6:30am – 2:30pm, weather permitting.
Works being undertaken includes widening the existing bitumen seal, installation of kerb & channel, and line marking along the school frontage with Gore Street, between Harm Street and Cooper Street intersections.
These works have been funded under Queensland State Government’s School Transport Infrastructure Program and the South Burnett Regional Council capital works program.
In order to provide a safe work environment, the work areas will be controlled by signage or with traffic controllers as required. Parking will not be available on either side of Gore Street between Harm and Cooper Streets whilst the works are in progress. Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extra care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
