South Burnett Regional Council is pleased to advise that repair works on Burnett Street Kingaroy are expected to commence on Wednesday 13 September 2023, weather and machinery permitting.
These repair works are expected to be completed over a period of 5 days and will be undertaken during the daytime between the hours of 7am to 5pm. No night works will be undertaken.
Works to be carried out include the replacement of pavement and bitumen sealing for the full width of the road for approximately 122 metres in length. Please refer to the below figure with the extent of the work area marked in blue.

Temporary road closures will be required to facilitate the works, with traffic control in place to direct motorists through the worksite.
Residents near the worksite may experience some temporary impacts, including:
- Construction vehicle movements with reversing beepers and flashing lights. Due to workplace health and safety requirements, reversing beepers cannot be switched off.
- Construction related noise.
- Construction related dust (every effort will be made to minimise dust through watering)
- Disruptions to driveway access during the daytime between the hours of 7am to 5pm.
Please be advised that refuse collection will continue as normal.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this works may cause and we appreciate your patience while we complete these works.
Once completed, the repair will improve the condition of the roadway for all road users. This project is funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) which is a jointly funded program between the Australian and Queensland governments.
