Refurbishment for Lions Park Kingaroy
South Burnett Regional Council wishes to advise the community that refurbishment works at Lions Park Kingaroy will begin from 18 September 2023.
Works will include the closure of the playground to allow the old equipment to be removed, installation of new softfall ground cover and a new all inclusive playground equipment.
The new playground equipment will include an inground jumper allowing children in wheelchairs to enter and exit independently, a wheelchair friendly lookout tower, and a universal carousel. The design allows the carousel and jumper to be accessible for everyone and there will be a sensory play wall which will feature the like of a tic-tac-toe, a musical play and gearshift and tube panels, which will allow children to follow their instinct to play which will assist with developing fundamental skills.
This refurbishment is being funded under the State Government’s Works for Queensland round 4 program and is scheduled for completion by the end of November 2023, with weather permitting.
