The Christmas Cottage Winner Announced
The Christmas lights competition had a new addition this year with the Christmas Cottage category for individual light displays.
The 2023 winner was 45 South Street Nanango and was announced at the Nanango Council office on Wednesday 20 December 2023.
“We’re so excited to see the release of the name of the winner for Christmas Cottage. We’ve been told that people have been travelling the walk through more than once with their children.”
“The aim of the Christmas Spirit Initiative is to grow the sense of community, to give children the chance to experience the joy and wonder of Christmas” said CEO Mark Pitt and his wife Nicola Pitt.
The main thing is to make sure it’s understood that the winner’s display is child centred and well thought out. We look forward to awarding the 2024 Christmas Cottage, and though there is no monetary award, the perpetual shield will be housed for the year in the home township of the winner.
Entries opened in November and the new award of Christmas Cottage was added to the categories of Santa Claus Lane and Santa’s Workshop.
