Wondai Roundabout Upgrade Update
South Burnett Regional Council is pleased to provide this update on the Wondai Roundabout Upgrade Project.
This project will refresh the Wondai Roundabout on the Bunya Highway at the intersection of Scott and Haly Streets. New infrastructure includes the centre island and splitter islands, kerbing, landscaping, and decorative panels highlighting Wondai’s culture and history.
Council’s work crew currently engaged on the Wondai CBD Upgrade will transition to the roundabout upgrade works, with works commencing this week.
The roundabout upgrade will be constructed under traffic control. Traffic controllers will be in place to ensure the safety of workers and road users. Travellers should expect some delays when traversing this intersection while work is in progress. Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks you for your patience during these works.
Site works and construction activity will be performed Monday to Friday – 6:30am – 3:30pm. The project is expected to be completed by mid June 2024.
This project has been proudly funded under the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program.
