Kingaroy Drinking Water Supply – Mt Wooroolin Reservoir Project

Back

The new Mt Wooroolin Reservoir project has reached a significant milestone.

The concrete placement is complete for the ring beam, foundations, and slab. Below ground 375mm diameter civil pipework is continuing and curing of the slab is required before the remainder of structural components can be installed.

This construction project is part of Council’s extensive $7.9m capital expenditure program for 23/24.

A contribution of $1.5m is proudly funded by the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland (W4Q) program contributing to the $2.1m reservoir project.

Works for Queensland Program (W4Q) funding round will support the 65 Councils outside of South East Queensland to deliver local projects that create jobs, deliver better infrastructure and services, and improve the lives of Queenslanders now and into the future.

Council remains focused and committed to improving safety and reliability of water supply to the community.
