Notice of Works - Transmitter Road Rehabilitation
Council wishes to advise of the commencement of construction of road works on Transmitter Road, Charlestown begins Tuesday 18 June 2024 for a period of two (2) weeks, weather permitting.
Works will include strengthening the existing pavement and bitumen seal. The construction involves five sections located from Ch130 to Ch3062.
This project has been funded within the South Burnett Regional Council’s Capital Works Program for 2023-2024.
In order to provide a safe work environment for Council staff, contractors and users, traffic control will be in place during the time of works to control flow of traffic and ensure pedestrian safety. Some minor delays may be encountered. Local access to properties and business within the work area will continue. Motorists and pedestrians are requested to travel with extra care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
