Upgrades to Kingaroy Memorial Park

Back

South Burnett Regional Council is excited to announce that works to upgrade Kingaroy Memorial Park has commenced.

The works for a new basketball court and warrior course, with $250,000 in funding provided through the State Government’s Minor Infrastructure Program, will take place over six (6) months and are scheduled to finish in December 2024.

“The warrior course and basketball courts will provide valuable alternatives for the older children in our community, engaging our youth and encouraging physical activity”, said Cr Danita Potter.

“With funding provided by the State Government, designed to help Queenslanders get involved in sport and recreation, the project fosters this opportunity within the South Burnett “, said Cr Potter.

The park will remain open, however we ask that the public take caution when using the park.

Council apologises for any inconvenience these upgrades may cause to events and park users.
