Council’s New Halls & Facilities Booking Process

As part of Council’s Operational Plan 2023/24, a review was undertaken of Council’s halls and facilities booking process.

Council is firmly committed to leveraging technology to enhance processes and achieve greater efficiencies through ongoing digital transformation. To improve our customer service when booking facilities, a new on-line booking system is being developed, and will be implemented in the coming months.  The new on-line hall booking system will enable customers to view real-time hall availability for their event or function, see photographs and floor plans, details of resources available at each hall, view seating plans and set-up options, obtain quotes and pay for bookings.

As part of the review, the hall booking fees and charges have been simplified for the new financial year and will now be charged as a rate per hour.  To recognise that the halls are provided for use and enjoyment by the local community, residents and not-for-profit groups will be granted a discount to the full hire charges.

Throughout the implementation of the new on-line booking system, Council’s Customer Service Team will work with customers and assist in the transition.  Regular hall hirers will be contacted soon to be advised of the new fees and charges and will be kept updated as implementation progresses.
